Via J. Cole: Rest in Peace to Michael Brown and to every young black man murdered in America, whether by the hands of white or black. I pray that one day the world will be filled with peace and rid of injustice. Only then will we all Be Free - Cole
"I'm tired of being desensitized to the murder of black men," rapper J. Cole said in a statement on the Dreamvillain website with the release of his new song "Be Free." "I don't give a f*ck if it's by police or peers. This sh*t is not normal."
My Take: I truly am taken by these events, and if you havnt been fully caught up to speed, my last blog discussed the events with Michael Brown in Missouri. I do not however, agree with the violence and looting in the city but the peaceful protests SPEAK VOLUMES. We the people are strong when united. Thank God for every prayer that has and will continue to go up for this situation and all others like it. Let's peacefully teach the police and all forces above us that we want peace for our kids and the generations to come. We are God's children and we all deserve to be free.
