Steven Spielberg became the subject of online vitriol this weekend after a photo went viral of him posing with a "dead" dinosaur. The image shows the director sitting next to a mechanical Triceratops on the set of the 1993 film Jurassic Park and is captioned, "Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered." The picture was met with outrage, drawing thousands of comments such as, "This is no sport! Why did he kill such a rare animal?" and "He's a disgusting inhumane p**ck. I'm not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER." It appears that a depressing number of people (really, even one is too many) are unaware that the photo is a joke and that dinosaurs went extinct 66 million years ago.
