Are Ariana Grande and Madonna Collaborating Together?

Ariana Grande got her Arianators all riled up on Wednesday, when she tweeted out a photo of her and Madonna—someone the pop star has cited as an inspiration and mentor on several occasions—with the caption ""thank you @madonna... u know why," with a heart emoji and an emoji of the Golden Gate Bridge. For those of you who've been paying close attention, the latter symbol is one the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer has used when posting about new music.

Of course, fans immediately jumped to the conclusion that Madge is a collaborator on Ari's upcoming album, Sweetener.

"ariana has been going to the studio lately.... ariana is thanking madonna for something they both know..... according to my calculations ariana and madonna collaborated and couldn’t be happier for her (i was hacked if they didn’t)" one Twitter user speculated.

"If Ariana collabed with Madonna......omg" another tweeted in disbelief. Check out those posts and the one that started them all below.

Grande has already released some tracks off Sweetener, which is due out August 17, and is gearing up to drop its next single, "God Is a Woman," on July 20. She also dedicated an interlude to her new fiancé, Pete Davidson.
