61-year-old Clifton Blackwell was charged with a hate crime by Milwaukee prosecutors on Wednesday for allegedly throwing battery acid on the face of Mahud Villalaz Friday night. Villalaz suffered second-degree burns to his face when according to Villalaz, Blackwell confronted him over how he parked and accused him of being in the U.S. illegally. Villalaz, 42, a U.S. citizen who immigrated from Peru, said he moved his car and ignored Blackwell, but Blackwell proceeded to throw battery acid on Villalaz.
