A North Carolina woman allegedly beat her boyfriend's mother to death with a frying pan over an argument about a dog. Abigail Tipton is being charged with manslaughter in the murder of Maria Adame but authorities may upgrade those charges.
According to court papers, Tipton first told police that she and Adame got into a fight over a dog, and that Adame came after her with a knife. Tipton showed police scratches that were later determined to be self-inflicted.
Tipton confessed to holding Adame's face down on the floor and beating her over the head with a frying pan to the point that the handle broke and that resulted in the death of Adame.
