The family of the developmentally disabled man who was shot to death by an off-duty Los Angeles Police officer Salvador Sanchez on June 14th, 2019 at a Costco in Corona announced Wednesday the filing of a civil-rights lawsuit.
Officer Sanchez who shot 32-year-old Kenneth French and French's parents was not charged on the recommendation of a grand jury. Both parents survived after being hospitalized.
According to the family's attorney, the civil suit seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
