2022 has been quite the year for many of us. With so many ups and downs, it was actually hard to be surprised by much. However, Oxford Dictionary's Word of the Year definitely caught me off guard.
Their word of the year is "goblin mode".
Once I found out how they came to this decision, I was less than surprised. They put up an internet poll to determine the word of the year. Of course, The Internet is going to Internet and voted for the meme choice.
To be honest, the amount of time I have SEEN the term on Twitter, the decision ironically makes sense.
