Meet Talented R&B Singer Harry Jay from DC

Harry Jay is an Rnb/ neo soul artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from the Washington, DC area, Jay picked up the piano at age 5, writing full length songs by age 12, and proficiently playing guitar and bass by age 15. Falling in love with the likes of Marvin Gaye, Steely Dan, and Stevie Wonder, as well as 90s hip hop acts such as Nas and Tupac in his formative years, Harry Jay began crafting his own version of modern jazz-based Rnb, infusing a tasty dose of hip-hop production and lyricism as well. He has since been dubbed “the musical love child of Miguel and The Weeknd” by those who have seen him.

After finishing high school, Harry Jay attended Berklee College of Music, where he focused on his guitar and vocal skills, and studied jazz composition. During this time, Jay formed and lead the 7 piece funk outfit Harry Jay and the Bling. Going on 3 East coast tours, performing alongside burgeoning neo-soul sensations such as Miette Hope, and seeing their EP reach number one on the bandcamp Rnb charts, the band enjoyed serious success up and down the east coast, becoming a local sensation in Boston, and Jay’s native Washington, DC.

Upon finishing school, Harry Jay branched off into a solo venture, incorporating more elements of modern Rnb and neo soul in his work. Additionally, Jay was a wedding singer in the New England area, honing his craft as a performer and live singer. Eventually, Jay ended up in Los Angeles, venturing entirely into an artistic career. He has since released 6 singles and amassed over 400000 plays on Spotify organically, as well as selling out legendary Hollywood Venues such as Bardot and the Resident. He is now set to release his most polished, jaw dropping work to date, the “NOTHARRISON EP,” a record consisting of catchy, soulful, memorable hooks, thought- provoking lyricism, and a whole lot of groove.

Harry Jay is also known for his viral “anyone can sing” series on TikTok, with multiple videos reaching millions of views. The series centers around vocal tips delivered comedically by Jay, always starting with the phrase “anyone can sing.” This series launched Jay into becoming the vocal coach of young TikTok stars such as kevboyperry (Kevin creel), mother victory, and landed him collaborations with artists like Luke Brown (lowkeyLuke), of the Future X.
