Microsoft founder Bill Gates proved he hasn’t visited a grocery store in a long time by failing a shopping challenge on Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The mega-billionaire played a guessing game in which he attempted to name the prices of five household products and food items. He was way off on a package of Tide Pods, guessing $4, when the correct answer was actually $19.97. He had better luck when it came to dental floss, guessing $4 for the $3.78 item. During his first-ever interview with Ellen, Gates revealed that he doesn’t have many “extravagant tastes.” He noted however, that his "indulgences" include a Porsche, a private plane and a trampoline room in his house.
