A trailer for an upcoming documentary about Fred Rogers and his classic PBS kids' program Mister Rogers' Neighborhood debuted yesterday on YouTube, and Twitter quickly broke down in tears reminiscing about the kind-hearted TV icon. "New challenge: Try to get through the #MrRogersMovie trailer with dry eyes and then make it through the movie, too!" one Twitter user wrote about the Won't You Be My Neighbor preview, while another tweeted, "I'm a weepy mess of nostalgia and hope right now." Response to the trailer was so overwhelming that, as of this morning, it's the #1 video on YouTube Trending.
The doc, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, will premiere in theaters on June 8 and we can't wait.
