Kendrick Lamar stopped his set at the Hangout Fest in Alabama over the weekend after the white fan he invited onstage dropped the “N-word” while rapping his song. NME reports that the rapper asked the woman to help perform his 2012 song “M.A.A.D. City.” But when the fan proceeded to repeatedly rap the racial slur, Lamar stopped the music and the fan asked, “Aren’t I cool enough for you? What’s up, bro?” Lamar then explained that “you got to bleep one single word, though” and the fan replied, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I do it? I’m so sorry… I’m used to singing it like you wrote it.” Lamar kindly gave her a second chance to rap along to the track while censoring herself.
She's obviously a fan of Kendrick's, do you think she should be allowed to rap the words the way he wrote it, or is rapping the N-word ALWAYS a no-no?
Warning: The video below contains A LOT of foul language and may not be suitable for your workplace.
Apparently, pulling ladies on stage is a regular thing for Kendrick. In this next video the woman impresses the crowd AND Kendrick too!
