Ellen DeGeneres opened up about her own experiences as a sexual assault survivor in an interview this week with TODAY's Savannah Guthrie. "As a victim of sexual abuse, I am furious at people who don't believe it," said DeGeneres, who claims she was sexually assaulted at age 15. "We are really vulnerable at that age and we trust and then when you are violated, you don't know what to do and you don't say anything." She adds that survivors watching the Brett Kavanaugh hearings are probably, like her, "so angry, because how dare you not believe us?" DeGeneres' interview came the same week she and Ellen guest Busy Philipps shared their stories of teenage assault with one another.
