As we told you before, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in both Western and Indian ceremonies in India. For their cover story in the new issue of People magazine, the newlyweds are opening up about their “highly emotional” nuptials… and shared some more special moments via pictures and videos, as well.
Priyanka says that being surrounded by her family and friends for the two weddings as a “religious mash-up” was “unbelievably special.” Both she and Nick agree that although “you think you whole life about that moment,” neither of them could have imagined how magical the moment would end up being. Priyanka admits that she was “nervous and scared,” but once she saw Nick’s face, “I knew I was making the best decision of my life.”
The couple has also taken to Instagram to share some video and photos from the two ceremonies.
- In one photo from the Hindu wedding, the couple can be seen wearing traditional Indian outfits – Priyanka wore an Indian skirt and top with a Western-inspired veil, with her parents’ and Nick’s name reportedly sewn into the waistband. The custom look apparently took 110 embroiders and more than 3,000 hours to make.
- In another picture from the Christian wedding, she’s wearing a custom Ralph Lauren long-sleeved gown that reportedly includes more than two-million sequins and took almost 2,000 hours to hand-embroider.
- They’ve also shared a clip of the Western ceremony, featuring Priyanka walking down the aisle with a whopping 75-foot veil. The video includes some aerial shots, too, which are absolutely stunning.

- SO HOW MUCH DID THIS ALL COST? Now that you've heard about the stars' extravagant three-day celebration of love, you probably aren't surprised to hear that it cost a pretty penny – or two or three...or like, TEN. Bean-counters have crunched the numbers: try $460,000 for the wedding venue and accommodations ALONE, add pre-wedding festivities running upwards of $60-grand...$42k for the Hindu ceremony...the 225 guests reportedly swallowed $61,000 worth of catering...and all those plane tickets (An average price of $1,300 round trip for coach, $8k - $21k for first class)...and THEN there's Priyanka's custom, hand-embroidered dresses...the helicopter that shuttled guests to and from the venue...and and and. Yeah...it must be nice (especially considering they're reportedly worth $53-million together)
