Newly christened Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Janet Jackson is ready for her Las Vegas close-up! Consequence of Sound reports that the 52-year-old diva has announced a 15-night residency at Park MGM’s Park Theater called "Metamorphosis." A press release promises that the show will unveil "the layers of the immensely private life of Janet Jackson...Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges faced along her personal journey." A portion of the concert will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of her legendary 1989 album, Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814. The residency kicks off May 17. Jackson will perform six shows in May before taking June off; she'll then return for four shows in July and five in August, with her final performance currently scheduled for August 10. Tickets are on sale March 2.
Personal note, if you've never seen Janet Jackson live, DO IT NOW! You will not regret it. She's one of my all time favorite concerts.
