Residents in Los Angeles could be forgiven for calling the cops after witnessing a giant fireball in the sky. But there's no need to panic. In an effort to quell fears over Wednesday night's incident, the LAPD tweeted out a video along with the caption, "A meteor did not crash into Downtown Los Angeles, and no, it's not an alien invasion...just a film shoot." Perhaps the police just wanted to reassure newcomers to the city, adding, "This is Tinseltown after all," to their message. Ever see something like that in the sky where you live?
