UPDATE at 9:30 am: Players have agreed to resume the playoffs, with games being postponed Thursday. - LA TIMES

7 am: On Wednesday, six NBA teams boycotted their scheduled playoff games to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man who was severely injured after getting shot seven times in the back by a white police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Athletic reports that a players meeting held Wednesday night resulted in two of Los Angeles'--and the league's--biggest stars, LeBron James of the Lakers and Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers--saying that neither they nor their teammates wanted to resume the season, which could create a domino effect that would lead to its premature end. ESPN reports that the NBA's board of governors and players will meet separately on Thursday morning to discuss how to proceed.
