Don't want to catch the coronavirus? Then start chugging Vitamin D pills. According to a new study published by the JAMA Network, a Vitamin D deficiency increases a person's chance of COVID-19 infection by 77 percent. Dr. David Meltzer, a professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, told UPI that "Vitamin D may prevent the excess inflammation that is part of the challenge in managing severe COVID-19." Aside from taking your vitamins, Meltzer says that "regular exposure to sunlight can [also] raise Vitamin D levels."
