Chunky Thighs & Wide Hips Linked to Longer Life Expectancy

Good news, Thick Thighs! A new study finds that people with wide hips and thick upper legs are actually likelier to live a longer life. Researchers found that every four-inch increase in hip circumference is associated with a 10 percent lower risk of mortality from any cause. Meanwhile, every two inches of extra thigh circumference corresponds to an 18 percent lower risk of mortality. People with higher percentages of leg fat were also 61 percent less likely to experience high blood pressure. [The Times]
