Two sisters really wanted to get their summer tans started early. The girls, 4 and 9-years-old, took their parents' car and set out to drive from Utah to California for a beach vacation. The adventure began and ended on Wednesday when the girls took the keys while their parents were sleeping.
On the highway, they bumped into a pickup truck. The driver of that vehicle called the police and followed them. The girls wound up crashing HEAD ON into a semi-truck. Luckily, airbags went off, and both of the children were wearing seatbelts. They weren't injured, and that was the end of their journey.
The parents had no idea about what was going on until the authorities called them. [NBC 4]
