Thursday is a critical day in the search for the OceanGate submersible craft. Rescue teams are searching for the vessel before oxygen runs out for the five passengers, which was estimated to happen at 7:08am EST.
The submersible is supposed to have 96 hours of oxygen and has been underwater since Sunday. The travelers were exploring the Titanic crash site.
On Wednesday, banging noises were heard by sonar devices from the Canadian P-3 aircraft. Resources were directed to hopefully narrow down the location.
Over the last several days, former employees and several experts raised flags about the safety of the OceanGate submersible.
