Last year, more than 8 million US moviegoers caught a film with tickets as low as $3 on National Cinema Day, which comes during a slow time of the year for theatres.
It looks like the day is returning, with a Cinemark employee posting on Reddit that this year's National Cinema Day will take place, Sunday, August 27th with their chain offering "$4 tickets and $1 off concessions". This would be a great time to catch up on movies you may not have seen yet, like "Barbie" or "Oppenheimer".
