The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Natalia Bryant, oldest daughter of the late Kobe Bryant, is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for Lakers Night at Dodger Stadium on Friday, Sept. 1.
This special occasion is an opportunity to follow in her father’s footsteps. Kobe threw out the first pitch in the summer of 2000 after winning his first of five NBA championships with the Lakers.
The Dodgers will also honor the basketball legend with a special Dodgers jersey on "Lakers Night" that features Bryant’s No. 8 on the front and No. 24 on the back. The co-themed jersey has the traditional Dodgers script across the chest, designed in black and yellow, along with the same snakeskin theme that Kobe used when designing his Black Mamba jersey for the Lakers.
The Sept. 1 event will not be the first time Natalia has publicly celebrated her father. At a ceremony honoring Kobe in March 2023, Natalia said, "Being his daughter is one of the greatest joys of my life, and I hope to continue to embody and cherish the many lessons he has taught me." [Read More]
