Sad day! Cafe Sevilla in Riverside closed down after being open for 20 years! It was always a special place in my heart as Sevilla was the first night club I ever went to. For a long time, Sevilla was THE spot to go to in Downtown Riverside for night life, and even through the years as more clubs opened up in the area.. Sevillas stayed strong.
However, a recent shooting back in October of 2018 is what ultimately started the decline of the club/restaurant and is now closing after owners Eric and Anne Van den Haute were not be able to fix problems with the city. They claim that they've been "unfairly targeted" by the city of Riverside since that shooting.
Sad to see the place go.. a lot of good times there!
