The CHP officer and gunman are dead after massive gun battle on 215 freeway overpass in Riverside.
Today in a massive law enforcement response on the 215 Freeway overpass there was a shooting shortly before 6 pm in the area of Box Springs Boulevard and Eastridge Avenue.
A suspect was killed and three officers were seriously injured in this shootout. According to Riverside Police Department the CHP officer and a suspect had an exchange of gunfire. The suspect was struck at the scene and officials later said the individual had died.
You are able to notice two CHP vehicles with visible gunshot damage in the rear windshields at the scene.
