Animal Cracker Box Redesigned After Pressure From PETA

PETA will stop at nothing to represent animal rights. Apparently, that includes the rights of animal crackers. Nabisco recently redesigned their classic Barnum’s Animals Crackers box after some pressure from PETA.

It all started when PETA publicly shamed the parent company of Nabisco with an open letter. They wanted a redesign - as the packaging depicts “the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals.” As goofy as it sounds - the company gave in. Now, the new packaging features a similar color scheme, but no boxcar. We still have an elephant, lion, gorilla, giraffe, and zebra...but they're "roaming free." [NY Post]

Ummmm, was this necessary?
