Company Offers "Fur-ternity Leave" for New Pet Parents

Some companies are getting increasingly generous--and creative--with their benefits policies. Case in point: the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the Nina Hale digital marketing company is now offering "fur-ternity leave" to its employees. New pet owners can request a week of flexible hours when they bring their furry friend home. "I think being able to be home and being able to have that flexible schedule the first week really allowed Bentley to understand his new surroundings," senior account executive Connor McCarthy said of his new two-month-old Goldendoodle. "We're kind of in the new era of employee benefits," said Allison McMenimen, executive director at Nina Hale. "It's about catering to people at all their different life stages." [Star Tribune]
