You probably hear that Kim Kardashian was advocating for release of Kevin Cooper. To review, he’s on death row for committing four murders in the 1980s. She recently appealed to California Governor Jerry Brown to order an advanced DNA test that could possibly exonerate the now 60-year-old inmate.
Now the San Bernardino County, California District Attorney is weighing on Kim’s request, and he’s not pleased. Mike Ramos sees her advocacy as disrespectful to the murder victims. He said, “This latest attempt to free Kevin Cooper is nothing more than a red herring and another slap in the face of the victims and their family members who were forced to suffer a lifetime of pain.”
Ramos went on to add, “It’s time that we start talking and tweeting about the victims who were brutally murdered in the sanctity of their home.” Cooper was convicted of killing three members of the Ryen family and a child sleeping over at their house in 1983. So far, Kim hasn’t commented.
