Study Finds Drinking At Work Could Boost Your Career
Drinking At Work Could Boost Your Career: Have you ever had a drink at work? Well, you should. A new survey recently found that 49 percent of professionals believe that workplace drinking strengthens work relationships, with a quarter of them saying that it led to better job opportunities. The study questioned 1,000 full-time employees across America and found that drinking with superiors is actually seen as not only acceptable but as a competitive advantage. However, probably best if you don't go downing a bottle of Jack Daniels at lunch. Respondents said they usually kept their happy hours to a two-drink maximum, and they preferred wine and beer over hard liquor. Bottoms Up. [ New York Post ]
People Are Stealing Coats In Chicago Because Of Weather
People Are Stealing Coats In Chicago Because Of Weather: You've probably noticed just how friggin cold it is around the country. It's especially freezing in the midwest right now, and Chicago might be the coldest place on earth right now. According to the forecast, it's supposed to reach minus-15 over the next few days. That's actually colder than in Alaska, Antarctica, and Siberia. When you consider those temperatures, it makes sense that a crime spree centered around stealing coats makes all the sense in the world. However, these aren't just any coats, these are Canada Goose jackets. These are some of the warmest jackets you can wear and cost anywhere from $550 to $1,700. So far, six people have had their Canada Goose coats stolen by two armed robbers. Police haven't made any arrests as of yet.
