In his new stand-up special, Dave Chappelle tackles the sexual abuse scandals in Hollywood. For some, it would have been better if he'd kept quiet. This as the comedian is now being accused of victim shaming after he questioned Louis C.K.'s accusers - one in particular.
As you'll recall, Louie admitted to masturbating in front of women, allegations which Chappelle called a "turning point" that made him "laugh." Then he singled out Abby Schachner, a former comedian who claims that the comedian pleasured himself while on a phone call with her in 2003. She says that's one of the reasons she left comedy behind. In Chappelle's opinion, that shows she has a "brittle spirit."
"Show business is just harder than that," he adds. "I know that sounds f**ked up, I'm not supposed to say that, but...b***h, you don't know how to hang up a phone? How the f**k are you going to survive in show business if this is an actual obstacle to your dreams?"
