MMA superstar Conor McGregor has turned himself in and been charged with assault after going on a rampage at a press conference at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday. According to Boxing Scene, McGregor and his entourage threw chairs, trash cans and a dolly at a bus carrying UFC 223 fighters over the UFC's decision to strip McGregor of his lightweight championship belt and give it to the winner of this weekend's fight instead. Fighter Michael Chiesa was injured in the ambush and has withdrawn from his bout with Anthony Pettis. After the incident, a warrant was issued for McGregor's arrest and his plane was not allowed to take off. McGregor was apparently trying to find rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, who had a confrontation with McGregor's teammate and friend Artem Lobov earlier in the week. McGregor will be arraigned Friday morning.
