YUCK. These Are The Germiest Places In Your House

Germs could be hiding in your house in places you might not expect, according to the CNN. Most people think that the toilet is the germiest place in the house, for instance. Microbiologist Charles Gerba, known as "Dr. Germ", says that other places are worth looking at as well. In fact, he claims that the kitchen sink has more fecal matter than a toilet. "That's why your dog drinks out of the toilet. He's smarter than you think," he says. Sponges usually hold the most germs. Gerba tested sponges and "found salmonella on 15 percent of them. So yeah, I'm really paranoid about them," he said. He also points to cutting boards, coffee water reservoirs and refrigerator handles as problem spots. In the bathroom, people should realize that bacteria can spread six feet when you flush with the toilet seat up, making towels and sink counters very germ-prone.
