Today's OPP (Other People's Problem): How Should I Go Out On My Last Day Of My Current Job?
Hi guys, this is Marie, and I’m messaging you this morning from my desk at my last day of work for my current employer. This hasn’t been the greatest job or work experience I’ve ever had, so I’m glad to be moving on to my new job that I start next week.
As I sit here, there’s really not much work for me to do. It’s mostly saying goodbye to people and clearing out my desk. There is a part of me that would like to tell some select coworkers to go shove it and make a big scene.
Here’s my question: If I do that, which would feel SO good, do you think my boss would call my new employer and tell them what happened? Should I just go out classy or get some things off my chest? I’m really torn right now about it.
