What a shame to come so far and not get to finish out the season because your team couldn't keep their cool. That's what happened between Orange Vista and Adelanto on Friday night according to the Victor Valley Daily Press, when in the 3rd quarter a bench clearing brawl took place.
The Adelanto football team appeared to be well on its way to the CIF-Southen Section Division 12 title game with a 41-0 lead over Orange Vista heading into halftime.
Then things got ugly.
According to Score Book Live, since both teams were forced to forfeit, El Monte was declared the Division 12 winner without having to go to the championships this weekend.
