Mother Accused of Tying Up Her 3-Year-Old Son and Setting Home On Fire

A mother has been arrested for allegedly tying up her 3-year-old son's hands and setting their Santa Paula home on fire. When officers arrived they found a women tied to a bed and a boy in another part of the house. They were rescued by firefighters and the fire was put out.

The mother, Marical Magana, was interviewed by authorities and it was determined that she endangered her son. According to officials, Magana placed a plastic bag over her son's head and then tied his hands and left him in a bedroom by himself. A motive has not been determined but the mother is facing felony child endangerment charges.
