Megan Thee Stallion Shares Her Truth, Says Tory Lanez Shot Her

More than a month after she was shot in the foot at a party in Los Angeles, rapper Megan Thee Stallion said publicly for the first time that hip-hop artist Torey Lanez was the shooter, the AP reports. “Yes ... Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and people to these blogs lying,” the 25-year-old rapper, said angrily in an Instagram Live video. “Stop lying!” In the video, Megan says she didn't tell L.A. police about the shooting because she was afraid. “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble,” she says in the video. Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was arrested on a gun charge the night of the incident, but made bail and has not been charged with anything else. Megan has consistently declined to name Peterson as the shooter until Thursday. She said from the beginning that she expected to fully recover, but said in subsequent posts that the shooting, which required her to have surgery, was “super scary” and “the worst experience of my life,” and she felt blessed that the gunfire hit where it did. She also tweeted Thursday night to Peterson, saying, "Lie one more time and ima quit sparing you."
