Warning: There's an Amazon Phone Scam Making The Rounds

The holidays are a time when thieves get mighty creative - and now they're claiming to be Amazon Prime, calling customers to get their info.

If you get the call, a pre-recorded message will say that it's an Amazon rep and that you have nearly $800 in charges. Then, scammers are hoping you press "one" to reach a fake Amazon or Amazon Prime rep will direct you to a fake website, waiting on your bank info - and your hard-earned money.

The Detroit Free Press said it best: "One red flag of a scam: The robocall asks you to hit one or some other key to continue."
