Meek Mill has been in the hot seat for several days now after a leaked song had a VERY controversial Kobe lyric. ODM & Evelyn talked about the line and how distasteful it was during the show on Monday.
The snippet of the song made its way to Vanessa Bryant and she called out Meek Mill on social media.
“Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period, I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”
According to TMZ, Meek has since apologized to Vanessa privately.
It is a terrible line. It's WAY too soon and honestly not even that clever. We JUST observed the anniversary of that horrific accident last month and for this song to come out leads me to ask what the F*** Meek was thinking.
Meek has to show accountability; making that apology to Vanessa was the first step.
