Gone Hollywood: A local non-profit founder is about to get the Hollywood treatment, with her real-life story being turned into a film. Kim Carter, founder of the “Time for Change Foundation” in San Bernardino will have her story directed by Taraji P Henson and Kim will be portrayed by none other than Jennifer Hudson! The inspiring story of how she rebuilt her life after addiction and turned it into her mission for helping women in similar situations - finding the “purpose in her pain,” will be final part of an anthology film featuring 7 stories called “Tell It Like a Woman”. More 4th of July Festivities: It’s 4th of July weekend, and we get to have real celebrations this year! More notable Independence Day festivities include the Independence Day Celebration in Rialto that is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday at Jerry Eaves Park on Ayala Drive. There's the “Main Street USA Independence Day Parade”, which is always great family fun, begins at 9 a.m. this Sunday in Corona with the return of the fireworks show at Santana Park. Over in Redlands, many citywide festivities begin at 9 a.m. and run to 5 p.m. A fireworks show will be at Sylvan Park at 9 p.m. The fireworks show and music will be broadcast live on YouTube.
