Couple Whose Gender Reveal Party Caused Wildfire Charged with Manslaughter

A California couple whose gender reveal party started the huge El Dorado wildfire last year that killed firefighter Charles Morton are facing more than 30 charges, including involuntary manslaughter. 13 civilians were injured. The El Dorado fire burned over 22,000 aces and destroyed five homes and 15 other buildings. The wildfire was started by a smoke-generating pyrotechnic device that lit the tall, dry grass in the area.

Refugio Manuel Jimenez Jr. and Angela Renee Jimenez both pleaded not guilty Monday in San Bernardino county and were released on their own recognizance.
