A San Bernardino County sheriff deputy was shot Tuesday just after 4pm after attempting to perform a traffic stop on a white BMW near the area of Bobbett Drive and Olive Street in San Bernardino. During the chase, the suspect turned a corner, and as the deputy began to turn the same corner, the suspect started shooting at the deputy's vehicle which may have caused the vehicle to catch fire. The deputy was taken to hospital in Colton with injuries to his face and additional shrapnel injuries to his arm. The deputy is expected to be ok according to Sheriff Shannon Dicus. The suspect, who deputies believe to be in his 20's, remains at large.
