22-year-old Javier Torres, a documented gang member, was arrested Monday by the Fontana Police Department for the alleged attempted murder of a woman in Fontana. The incident occurred back on August 13th when Torres fired a semiautomatic handgun into a busy parking lot after a fight involving two groups at a restaurant. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, had just went through a drive-thru and was looking for a place to park and eat her food when her vehicle was struck by several rounds of bullets, and one hit her on her side. That caused the victim to crash into a fire hydrant. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
