Portions of the Big Island are under an ashfall warning as Hawaii's Mauna Loa has started to erupt. Mauna Loa is the world's largest active volcano, but hasn't erupted since 1984.
For now, the lava flow isn't posing a risk to nearby communities as the lava is staying within the crater.
People have been taking to social media to post gorgeous (and some ominous) photos of the skies near the eruption site.
