Jonathan Majors was arraigned on several assault and harassment charges on Sunday.
The Manhattan District Attorney's Office told news organizations that the unidentified woman said Majors did "strike her about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear."
She also claimed he "put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain."
Majors' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, previously said there were "two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations," and "video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode."
His lawyer expects these charges to be dropped. [Read More]
