A 20-inch model of an X-wing starfighter used in 1977’s Star Wars sold for $3.135 million at a Heritage Auction in Dallas. The model, created by Oscar-nominated modelmaker Greg Jein, was thought to be lost for more than a decade until it was discovered in his garage. Sadly, Jein passed last year at 76.
This is now the most expensive piece of 'Star Wars' memorabilia.
