Selena Gomez is gearing up for a new acting role as she’s set to portray singer Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic. The film, which is reportedly in pre-production, got a rumor boost yesterday when Gomez posted a pic of the iconic 80s singer from her 2013 memoir “Simple Dreams.”
The singer and “Only Murders In The Building” actress reportedly met with Ronstadt months ago when she signed off on the casting decision.
Meanwhile, Ronstadt retired from music in 2011 due to her Parkinson’s diagnosis. However, her song “Long Long Time” topped three Billboard charts thanks to its placement in an episode of “The Last Of Us” on HBO. It also served as the title of the award-winning episode. [TMZ]
