Brush Fire Breaks Out in Riverside Near Iowa and Blaine

Update 08/31/17 at 9:30pm: Cal Fire reports fire is 100% contained and final burn area is 85 acres.

Update 08/31/17 at 5:50pm: Fire still 85 acres and is now 80% contained.

Update 08/31/17 at 1:10pm: Cal Fire reports fire is now at 85 acres and 20% contained.

Update 08/31/17 at 11:40am: Cal Fire reports fire to have grown to 45 acres and at 5% containment. Link to map.

A fire broke out on a hill near Iowa and Blaine in Riverside Thursday morning (August 31st, 2017). It was reported that 35 acres had been burned by 11a. It is being called the Marlborough Fire. Helicopters and planes dropping water and fire retardant material are flying over our 99.1 KGGI station as I type this. Head over to the links below for more updates.
