Another one. DJ Khaled is the man that never sleeps, and he's shared a brand new mega-collab, "Top Off," featuring an all-star cast of Beyoncé, JAY-Z, and Future. The new song is the first taste of Khaled's just-announced upcoming 11th studio album Father of Asahd.
"Top Off" was produced by DJ Khaled and Joe Zarrillo, and will surely be the anthem of summer, as Khaled keeps noting on social media, "summer starts now." And with a party including Bey, Jay and Future, how could it not?
In "Top Off," Future is letting everyone know that summer has arrived by repeatedly rapping in the song's chorus, "I took the top off the Maybach." And if cruising around in a Maybach with the top off isn't characteristic of the season enough, JAY-Z comes in the first verse with that straight fire, and even shouts out his daughter Blue. He raps, "'61 with the thing off/Me and Blue havin' a sing off." Goals.
Meanwhile Beyoncé comes in on the third verse and sings about the characteristics that make her the absolute queen she is. "I break the internet, top two and I ain't number two/My body, my ice, my cash, all real, I'm a triple threat." And to close the verse out, she sings, "If they're tryna party with the queen/They gon' have to sign a non-disclosure." Also goals.
The "Top Off" cover art features Khaled and his cute baby boy Asahd in, presumably a Maybach, with the top off, photographed from above. Summer has arrived, people.
JAY-Z and Beyoncé previously appeared on DJ Khaled's last album Grateful via the album's lead single "Shining." The album also featured superstars like Drake, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Nas, and many more. And if history is to repeat itself, the music mogul definitely has more magic up his sleeve for Father of Asahd. As the Fan Luv knows, he's always "up to something."
