A random traffic stop turned into a SWAT standoff on the corner of Haven Avenue and Trademark Parkway in Rancho Cucamonga Wednesday.
It began when authorities attempted to pull a car over, but suspect failed to yield. Once the vehicle stopped, the suspect refused to exit the vehicle, which promoted the standoff situation. Two armored vehicles smashed the car from the front and back.
SWAT was able to open the door and took the suspect into custody.
