Blood Found in Home and Car of Man Accused of Killing Woman Found in Colton

22-year-old Eddie Goldbaum from Colton was arrested on suspicion of murder after Colton officers performed a welfare check on him in which they discovered a bloody scene outside his home which led them to the body of a woman on Tuesday morning.

A large amount of blood was discovered at Goldbaum's residence on the 1300 block of North Christobal Lane and as well as in his vehicle. Detectives interviewed Goldbaum and that led them to the 100 block of South Acacia Avenue in Colton, where they discovered the body of a 44-year-old Fontana woman who had been shot.

According to officials, the shooting occured in Fontana, near the corner of Boyle and Hemlock, which is 7 miles from where the woman's body was found. The victim and Goldbaum knew each other. The woman has not been identified.
