Riverside County Residents Must Wear Masks or Could Be Fined or Jailed

Sheriff Chad Bianco warned Riverside County residents that they can be fined, imprisoned or both for ignoring an order that asks all residents to wear a mask or face covering when they leave their home during the coronavirus outbreak. This order also prohibits public and private gatherings of any size. Bianco went on to say that that they are not setting up a police state and that it is not a declaration of martial law in Riverside County. The order remains in effect through April 30.

According to Riverside University Health System, there are currently 946 COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths in Riverside County as of Tuesday morning, April 7.
